A 30-year-old woman was shot down in Penal, a town in Trinidad, on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 13, two months after she saw her husband being killed.
The female victim has been identified as Kristin Paul, a resident of Ramdhanie Trace, Mohess Road, Penal, Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the police officials, Paul was driving a car along the side of Mohess Road, Penal, when she witnessed her brother-in-law, named as Prem Boodoo, who is the proprietor of Ducky’s Poultry Shop, whose car was parked on the side of the street.
She stopped her car behind him and got inside his 4×4 Nissan Frontier as he checked the engine.
A few moments later, a Toyota Axio pulled up in front of their vehicle, and a gunman came out and started firing bullets that hit the window of the truck several times before he got inside his car and escaped the crime scene.
Paul was also hit and lost his life at the scene, and his brother-in-law was not injured as he was checking the engine. Earlier, on July 22, the woman’s husband, 36-year-old Amit Boodoo, was severed three times to the head during a brutal fight which took place at his driveway at the Jaipaul singh Trace, Barrackpore.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was being given the necessary treatment, but the fisherman died at the hospital.
His killer, who was identified by the police officials as 33-year-old Michael Francis, a resident of St Croix, Princes Town, was charged in connection with the incident. He is also a fisherman.
The death of Kristin Paul by the shooters has not been connected to the death of his husband yet, but police investigations are being carried out to find the motive behind her murder and to locate and arrest the criminals.
