Trinidad and Tobago: A mostly fair morning with brief showers in a few areas in Trinidad and Tobago. The wind flow over the equatorial Atlantic is continuing to push breezy and sometimes windy conditions across Trinidad and Tobago. While there is an increase in atmospheric moisture, it has so far translated into mostly layered-type clouds in the middle to upper regions of the atmosphere.

The forecast for this afternoon is for partly cloudy, hazy, and breezy conditions with a few light to moderate showers. There is still a risk of an isolated heavy shower. Similar conditions are expected overnight in Trinidad and Tobago.

In the event of a heavy shower, winds can become gusty in the vicinity.

There remains mostly mild, sometimes moderate concentrations of Saharan dust in the atmosphere.

Over the next couple of days, an increase in surface moisture is expected. This is likely to produce cloudy periods at times, with light to moderate showers over varying areas and low to medium chances of a heavier shower or thunderstorm over a few areas in Trinidad and Tobago.

Temperatures during the night-time and predawn hours can become cool to chilly, sometimes, because of the colder air from the north interacting with and modifying the air temperatures over the Antilles.

Please continue to pay attention to the latest forecasts, alerts, and information issued by the TTMS. The Public Forecast is updated daily at 6 AM, 10 AM, and 4 PM.

There is also a low (30%) chance of an odd heavy shower or thunderstorm. Partly cloudy conditions will likely linger into the night, with isolated showers across Trinidad and Tobago.

Winds can become gusty in the event of heavier downpours.
