Unstable conditions as a result of Potential Tropical Cyclone Number 2, are expected to result in cloudiness and increased shower activity along with isolated thunderstorms across the island tonight into tomorrow. Slight haze and windy conditions will also be evident during the period.

The center of Potential Tropical Cyclone Number 2 is projected to pass well south of Dominica. Squally weather conditions, pockets of moderate to heavy showers, and thunderstorms are expected across parts of the island, with the possibility of 1 to 3 inches of rain being projected during the next 24 hours. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks should remain vigilant, especially from tonight into tomorrow.

Another tropical wave in the central Atlantic is also being monitored for development. This wave is expected to approach the island chain on Friday. Residents are advised to monitor the progress of these disturbances.

Moderate to rough seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with waves peaking at 10.0ft in eastern coastal waters. A Small Craft Warning is now in effect for above-normal swells. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to stay out of the water.
