The Water and Sewerage Authority, (the Authority), advises customers in parts of St. James and environs, that restorative works to a leaking 21” pipeline located on the compound of the Police Academy, Western Main Road, St. James, are now complete.

The company said in a statement that the “complex nature of the works which required supply isolation, the de-energizing of an underground power line and removal of concrete infrastructure, were further delayed by persistent rainfall which slowed the mobilization of heavy equipment”.

WASA said repairs were completed at 4am and the system gradually charged with full service restored at 9am, Sunday 6 November, 2022.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24hrs for service to be restored to some areas in accordance with established supply schedules.

The company thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
