The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South West Trinidad that there will be an interruption in their water supply on Wednesday, July 20, between the hours of 5 am and 8 pm.
In release the authority says this is in order to facilitate repairs to a leaking 24-inch diameter pipeline at LP#55, along the Northbound lane of the Point Fortin Highway (in the vicinity of the Mon Desir overpass); as well as planned electrical maintenance work at the South Oropouche booster station.
Areas to be affected include La Brea, Vessigny, Sudama village and Union Village as well as the following:
Customers are further advised that following the completion of these works, it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalise to some affected areas.
