It’s gearing up to be another hot day in Trinidad and Tobago but the Meteorological Service has advised that these conditions can be interrupted by showers.
Here’s a look at today’s weather:
Generally hot, sunny and slightly hazy conditions are expected despite a few showery spells. There is a 40% (medium) chance of isolated afternoon heavy showers or thunderstorms, particularly over Trinidad. Tonight will be fair at first but will become partly cloudy from midnight with light or moderate showers occurring intermittently thereafter.
The Northern Windward and Leewards
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected with periods of light to moderate showers and occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms. Conditions will deteriorate further overnight as Tropical Storm conditions are expected. Broad areas of torrential showers and frequent thunderstorms can be expected with winds in excess of 90km/h with higher gusts.

Seas
Seas are slight to moderate in the Windward Islands, with waves measuring 1 metre to 2.5 metres. In the Leewards, seas are rough to very rough with waves measuring 3 metres to 4.5 metres in open waters.
