The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is extending condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Sergeant Liston Taylor, lovely called “LT”, who passed away last Monday.
Sergeant Taylor enlisted in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service as a Special Reserve Police in 1993.
He was then absorbed in 1997 where he served for twenty-two years.
He will be remembered by both Senior Superintendent Winston Maharaj and Ag Superintendent Intab Ramjohn as one who embodied professionalism, respect, integrity, and excellence.
Superintendent Ramjohn described Sergeant Taylor, as a community-centric individual, who developed an excellent relationship with the community, especially victims who came for assistance.
These qualities place the sergeant in good stead, he eventually became a detective which resulted in several successes with convictions and arrests.
The junior officers who worked with Sergeant Taylor remembered him as a mentor, who always provided guidance, and support on the job as he shared his wealth of knowledge in policing.
He leaves to mourn his wife and son.
