Trinidad and Tobago’s first appearance at a FIBA World Cup tournament ended in defeat as the national U18 team fell to defeat at the hands of Egypt.
T&T were beaten 21-13 by Egypt in their Pool A clash in Debrecen, Hungary.
In their second, game T&T went under to Serbia 21-11 and now faces an uphill task to qualify for the quarterfinals of the championship.
Trinidad and Tobago face host Hungary at 7:00 am on Friday, before taking on Germany at 8:50 am.
The quarterfinals are on Saturday, with the semi-finals and finals on Sunday at Kossuth Square, Debrecen.
The Trinidad and Tobago team is made up of Tyrese Antonio Fields, Ayodeji Iwaro, Jaden Roberts, and Anderson Salazar.
