Citizens and the travelling public are being advised that there will be temporary traffic road restrictions today, Wednesday 24th August to facilitate the Pan and Powder Steelband Parade which will be held in Downtown, Port-of-Spain.

According to a release from the TTPS, these restrictions will take effect from 12 noon until 11 pm tonight.

Motorists and other road users are advised that traffic will be restricted in the following areas:

  • Knox Street between Pembroke and Frederick Street from 12 noon until 8 pm.
  • From 6 pm until 11pm the following streets are restricted- Pembroke Street from Knox Street to Keate Street; Keate Street from Pembroke Street to Frederick Street; Frederick northwards from Keate Street to the Queens Park Savannah.

The TTPS is strongly advising citizens to adhere to all instructions by uniformed police officers during the course of the festivities and restrictions and to adhere to all traffic regulations.
