The Trinbago Knight Riders will hunt for their second win of the 2022 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) against the defending champions St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Saturday.

The Knight Riders beat the St Lucia Kings by three wickets in their opening match on Thursday.

Akeal Hosein took 4 for 13 to lead the Knight Riders to victory as they search for their fifth CPL title.

Tion Webster hit 58 and Tim Seifert 34 in their successful chase of 144 for victory.

The Patriots are winless in their first two matches after comprehensive defeats.

They lost their opening match to the Jamaica Tallawahs by 47 runs and then went under to the Barbados Royals by seven wickets.

The Knight Riders will engage Dwayne Bravo’s Patriots team at 7 pm on Saturday.

In the early match at 10 am, the impressive Jamaica Tallawahs will take on the five-time finalists Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The Tallawahs put up an imposing 183 for 2 in their opening game against the Patriots and have impressed many with their big-hitting top five.

Brandon King, who got 89 against the Patriots, will be coming up against his former team, the Amazon Warriors, who are playing their first game of the 2022 CPL.

In the final Women’s CPL preliminary round match, the Barbados Royals will take on the Guyana Amazon Warriors for a place in the grand final of the tournament.

With the Knight Riders women already in the finals, the winner of Saturday’s match will earn a berth in the finals.

The Barbados Royals lost to the Knight Riders by 1 run in the opening game on Wednesday, while the Amazon Warriors match against the Royals was a no result.

The Royals won the Women’s 6IXTY on Sunday and will be seeking a rematch with the Knight Riders on 4 September in the first-ever Women’s CPL final.
