A St Joseph couple was remanded into custody on Tuesday after appearing before the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court charged in connection with a housebreaking incident which occurred last Wednesday.
The duo, 23-year-old Alana Herralal and 34-year-old Neil Herralal of Palm Drive, St Joseph, pleaded guilty to the offence today. They will be sentenced on August 22.
At 3:15pm on August 3, officers of the Caroni Police Station (CPS) responded to a report of housebreaking at Ibis Gardens, Caroni. Upon arrival, they observed a house ransacked.
Both officers of the CPS and Guard and Emergency Branch South located and arrested two suspects who were subsequently charged.
