Temporary closure of 3 schools – NOW Grenada

The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information duly informs the public that there will be no school today, Monday 18 November, for students of Boca Secondary School, St Andrew’s School for Special Education, and Grenville Pre-Primary School.

The closure at the Boca Secondary School is due to an electrical problem on the school’s compound, while the closure at St Andrew’s School for Special Education and Grenville Pre-Primary Schools is due to sewer problems.

This Ministry apologizes for any inconvenience caused, as a result of these closures. Should the situation warrant further closure, all stakeholders will be notified accordingly.

Man charged with arson | NOW Grenada

One man has been arrested and charged in connection with two of the recent fires in St George’s.

Andy St John, 57 years, of no fixed place of abode, has been charged with six counts of Arson; five of the charges are associated with the inferno at Grenville Street and the other at Church Street.

St John is due to appear at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 28 January 2020.
