Police said an 18-year-old girl was hospitalized after taking medication.
Officials said the incident took place around 2:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon in La Horquetta.
Police were told that the teenager allegedly took a large quantity of medication, and then informed relatives.
She later passed out.
She was taken to the Arima Hospital where she was treated. Police were told that the medication was not fatal.
The victim was then transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for further observation.
