SpaceX launches 60 more mini-satellites to bring Global internet

SpaceX ,the ambitious space travel and innovations company founded by Chief executive Elon Musk, launched 60 mini statellites into space Monday towards the goal of providing global internet.

Musk wants to put thousands of these Starlink satellites in orbit, to offer high-speed internet service everywhere. He plans to start service next year in the northern U.S. and Canada, with global coverage for populated areas after 24 launches.

SpaceX is among several companies interested in providing broadband internet coverage worldwide, especially in areas where it costs too much or is unreliable. Others include OneWeb and Jeff Bezos’ Amazon.

Preliminary report of OAS Electoral Observation Mission in Dominica for December 6 general electionsThe Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS/EOM) present in the Commonwealth of Dominica for the General Elections of December 6 congratulates the people of Dominica on their peaceful and enthusiastic participation in yesterday’s electoral process.

Led by the former Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Right Honourable Hubert Ingraham, the Mission comprised 20 experts and observers from 14 countries, who deployed throughout the 21 constituencies of Dominica to observe the poll. The Mission conducted a substantive analysis of key aspects of the electoral process, including electoral organization and technology, the voters’ list, electoral justice, campaign financing and the political participation of women.
