A new software that promises to save time and reduce human errors in the manual payroll process and other human resource (HR) tasks is now available in Guyana.
Payroll Pro HRM was created as a complete and fully integrated payroll and human resource software solution by Gamma IT solutions – a software development company based in Aruba.
The software was established about 25 years ago and is now being made available in Guyana through a partnership between Gamma and Zamcorp – a local software solutions firm.
Chief Executive Officer of Zamcorp, Irzad Zamal at the official launch on Wednesday at the Pegasus Hotel in Georgetown said it is a historic and highly anticipated milestone for the company.
“This solution will adapt to our local taxation and labour laws, the local commercial bank requirements and also for faster payroll processing and many other useful features such as an employee self-portal, where users can log on from anywhere via mobile app to make HR inquires such as leave or time off requests, report absences or even request job letters,” Zamal explained.

Payroll Pro HRM provides businesses of any size [small, medium, large] a more efficient way to manage payroll, a process that can be lengthy and challenging.
“Today we officially ink our relationship [with Gamma] via an exclusive distributorship to market, implement and support Payroll Pro software products for the Guyana market,” Zamal related.
Payroll Pro HRM is incredibly flexible, adaptable and suited to a diverse range of industries such as government, private sector, financial institutions, recruitment agencies and businesses.
It is also user-friendly and comes with exceptional interfacing capabilities
Importantly, all data is kept secure in an encrypted database.
The human resource features include reminders, employee training, disciplinary actions, performance evaluation, recruitment module and many more.
Through the online self-portals, employees can download their pay slips, send messages to HR and request vacation days while managers can also approve vacations using the software.
“Our payroll and HR management software is ready to tackle the rigors and demand of keeping up with the management of the human capital of our businesses and our country,” Zamal said.
He further added that the prices are reasonable and stated that small businesses with about five employees can purchase Payroll Pro HRM for about US$600 (GY$125,000).
Zamcorp has been in operation for about five years and serves a wide range of clients in the private and public sectors with the popular accounting software QuickBooks.
