TT will be hosting the Regional Under-19 Women Rising Stars T20 Championship from July 5-13.

Matches will be played at Diego Martin Sporting Complex and the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

TT will be led by all-rounder Shalini Samaroo. The team also includes Djenaba Joseph who made her senior national team debut at the recently concluded regional T20 Blast and CG United Super50 in Guyana.

This year’s tournament is of significant importance as the selection panel, led by West Indies women’s lead selector Ann Browne-John, will be selecting a West Indies squad for preparation for the inaugural International Cricket Council Under-19 T20 Women’s World Cup in South Africa in January 2023.

The USA Under-19 women’s team will be using the regional tournament as part of their preparation for the World Cup.
