The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South West Trinidad and environs served by the Cap- De- Ville water treatment plant who are affected by a disruption in their pipe-borne water supply, that it is due to a defective motor affecting operations at the facility.
In a media release, WASA noted further that emergency repairs are currently underway and are expected to be completed by 8pm on Wednesday, October 25.
Areas affected include Erin Farm; Cap-de-Ville Junction to Erin Junction- inclusive of side streets along the SS Erin Road; Jackson Trace; Puerto Grande Road; La Resource Road and Buenos Ayres.
WASA advises further that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize in some affected areas following the completion of the repairs.
For further information or for assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s call centre toll-free at 800-4420/6.
