Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Tourism has announced the inaugural SLTA, Saint Lucia Tourism Awards, “The Gimies”

The Ministry cooperated with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority and the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association to organize the most anticipated awards presentation on the island.

The ceremony will be held at the Royalton Resort on February 25, 2023, and will honour all individuals’ efforts to the sector’s growth. The inaugural SLTA’s theme is “Rethinking Tourism.”

The prize is named after Mount Gimie, the tallest mountain in Saint Lucia, standing at an elevation of 3,120 ft. The Gimies is synonymous with reaching new heights, the pinnacle of excellence. The actual Award design, which depicts the Gimies was conceptualised by world renown sculptor, designer and son of the soil, Jallim Eudovic.
