Sacred Heart College represents Belize in Trinational virtual forum

Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio, Cayo represented Belize in a virtual Tri national forum for educators to share their experiences at their schools and educational community in their country.

Participating countries included Mexico, United States of America and Belize. The 3-day event featured participation from Principals, teachers and students.

President of Sacred Heart College, Rocio Carballo says that she is proud that the educators had the opportunity to participate and share as well as network with other educators.

Carballo also commended the educators from the school who participated.

“ Thanks to Mrs. Berta Cambranes, and Mr. Kelvin Tillett for presenting and Mr. Matt Cobb and Ms. Jiselle Awe, for assisting in preparing our students to present. To Mrs. Eufemia Usher, VP Student Affairs, thanks for co- presenting with Mrs. Cambranes and myself. To the students, who participated:

Jaiomie Cobb, Fabianny Parra Fonseca, George Kotch, Sherlyn Chen, Jisell Villanueva, Joel Rodríguez, you did an excellent job and made Sacred Heart College and Belize proud.

To our IT department, Mr. Luis Herrera, IT Manager, thanks for all the technical support rendered during these three days. To Mr. Federico Rosado, thanks for assisting in the preparation of our video. To our Chair, Board of Governors, Mr. Lizandro Quiroz, thanks for your presence during the forum. To our parents, who granted permission for your child to represent us, thank you. To our SHC teachers who were flexible with our students, so they prepared well for this event, thank youm” Carballo expressed.

Carballo says that the event was informative and motivating for participants including students.

She also thanked Dr. Ruty Buenfil Magaña from Colegio Bachilleres, who extended the invitation to Sacred College.
