Nicholas Romany has won the Holy Faith Convent (Couva) 5km race, just a week after winning the Scotiabank Race for the Kids 15km race.
Romany won in 15 minutes 51 seconds (15:51) beating Tafari Waldron into second place(16:21), with Kelvin Johnson (17:05) crossing the line in third place.
Waldron won the Scotiabank 5km last week in 15 minutes 49 seconds, while Johnson was second in the 15km race to Romany.
In the women’s event, Shardie Mahabir took the title in 20 minutes 34 seconds, with Chantel La Maitre in second (21:03), and April Francis in third (21:44).
Mahabir finished third in the 15km race last week, with La Maitre in second place.
Holy Faith Convent is located along the Southern Main Road in Couva, Central Trinidad.
