Trinidad and Tobago teenage golfers Chris Richards Jr and Zico Correia have been invited to play in the 2023 Latin America Amateur Championships in Puerto Rico.
The tournament, which offers the winner an invitation to the 2023 Masters Tournament in Augusta, is set for 12-15 January at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Puerto Rico.
The winner also receives full exemptions to The Amateur Championships, US Amateur Championships, and other USGA Amateur Championships.
Richards, who played at the Junior Presidents Cup in North Carolina this week, won the Pointe-a-Pierre Open and the Tobago Open in 2022.
Correia, who finished runner-up in the Barbados Open this weekend, won the T&T Open Amateur Championship in 2022.
Both players will be playing at the Latin America Amateur Championships for the first time.
Cayman Islands teenager Aaron Jarvis won the 2022 edition of the tournament and went on to make the cut at the Open Championships at St Andrew’s Scotland, in July.
