The misspelling on the street sign to honour artiste Ras Shorty I has been corrected.
The street sign, in recognition of Shorty’s contribution, was unveiled by San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello Thursday.
The sign, however, read “Ras Shortie I St”.
The street, known previously as Short Street, connects Pointe-a-Pierre Road and High Street.
Mayor Regrello confirmed that the sign with the misspelling was removed and replaced with one bearing the correct spelling of the beloved artiste’s name.
