Officials said it’s hoped that the body of a man which was found in Gran Couva last month would be identified today.
Persons contacted homicide investigators and noted that they believed that the body may be that of a 49-year-old man who was reported missing at the Princes Town police station.
He had last been seen on August 10.
Four days later, the body of a man was discovered wrapped in a black plastic sheet, in an area off the Caparo Brasso Valley Road.
The body was in a state of decomposition, but it also bore several wounds.
A post-mortem was ordered, but it can only be done once the deceased has been identified.
Investigators are hopeful that this can be done by today.
More on this as it becomes available.
