A PH taxi driver was shot dead in St Augustine Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Shemel Cornwall of Dookiesingh Street, St Augustine.
According to police reports around 1:20pm residents of Orange Grove Road heard a series of explosions.
They then observed a vehicle crashed into the side of the roadway.
Three people, including a man and two women, were seen running from the vehicle.
Residents found Cornwall slumped against the passenger seat of the car.
He appeared to have been shot in the head.
The police and paramedics were notified and officers from the Tunapuna Police Station and the Homicide Bureau responded.
Investigators have no motive for this incident.
