Pensioners and others signed up for public assistance grants are being urged to set up direct deposits to avoid long lines.
In an update, the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services said clients who are in receipt of Disability Assistance; Public Assistance; and Senior Citizens’ Pension can sign up for Direct Deposit.
The Ministry said this system will “will remove the hardships experienced by clients, including loss of cheques and delay in replacing these payments”.
