Police said a 68-year-old man died as a result of a road traffic accident in La Romaine on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Roderick Seales of Lange Street, Vistabella.
According to police reports, around 7.25 pm he was proceeding in his blue Nissan vehicle, north along the South Trunk Road in La Romaine, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The car crashed into a concrete pillar and then into a light pole.
Persons who observed the accident notified the police and paramedics and Seales was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital.
However, he died while undergoing treatment.
