A 71-year-old pensioner was discovered dead on Tuesday, days after he was last seen alive by neighbours.
Police Headquarters reported that Narain Ramaswami lived alone in a two-storey house at Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara. Police said he was an alcoholic and was last seen alive on Saturday.
Investigators believe he may have fallen through a flooring from the upper flat to the lower flat and died.
The man’s body was escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The body was then escorted to the Ezeikel Mortuary awaiting a Post-Mortem Examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
