Trinidad and Tobago cyclist Nicholas Paul successfully defended his Men’s Keirin title at the Tissot UCI Track Cycling Nation’s Cup on Saturday night in Cali Columbia.
The 23-year-old drove to the line to win the gold medal ahead of Jai Angsuthaswit (Thailand) and Sam Dakin (New Zealand).
Paul also won the title in 2021 at the same venue, handing Trinidad and Tobago its second gold medal in two days at the Nation’s Cup.
Akil Campbell, who was champion in the men’s elimination race on Friday, also successfully defended his title.
Paul and Campbell are set to compete on the final day of the UCI Track Nation’s Cup on Sunday.
Paul and Kwesi Browne will compete in the men’s sprint, while Campbell will battle in the omnium.
