The two pre-teen cousins reported missing earlier on Wednesday were found moments ago at a house in Eccles, East Coast Demerara.
The girls, 11-year-old Sabreen Singh and 12-year-old Natoya Tina Boodhoo reportedly went missing on Tuesday while playing along Trench Road, Albouystown.
A relative told the News Room that after the girls’ photos were shared on social media, a resident in Eccles contacted the family and said she saw them at the house.
According to the relative, the girls were allegedly picked up by a taxi driver and taken to Eccles.
The girls are being taken to the hospital for necessary examinations.
A report was made to the police earlier and it is unsure if the perpetrator was arrested.
Singh who lives at Mocha, East Bank Demerara visited Boodhoo for the weekend.
Family members said surveillance cameras in the area reportedly caught the two girls running away from something around 17:00hrs on Tuesday.
