Marriott Internationals’ Elegant Hotels has reopened another three resorts in Barbados, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Elegant Hotels’ Colony Club, Treasure Beach and Crystal Cove have all recently reopened their doors on the island.

Colony Club, the company’s original property in Barbados, has a total of 96 rooms and suites.

The adults-only Treasure Beach has 35 suites just steps away from the beach on the island’s Platinum Coast, while the all-inclusive, 88-room  Crystal Cove is set on the beach in a “seaside village” layout.

Elegant’s Waves Hotel, a wellness-focused all-inclusive, had already been open since July.

All of the properties have reopened under Marriott’s Commitment to Clean program “to ensure that guests feel confident when staying with us,” the company said in a statement.

On Dec. 4, the company’s Tamarind resort, which is now an all-inclusive, will be opening its doors; Elegant’s other Barbados properties, the adults-only The House and family-friendly Turtle Beach resort, will be both be reopening on Jan 3.

Marriott acquired the Elegant Hotels portfolio at the end of 2019, part of a growing push in the all-inclusive sector for the company.

Barbados is currently open to international tourism and requires a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of landing in Barbados; you can find more on the island’s entry protocols here.
