Police are searching for a suspect after a 36-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Champ Fleurs.
The victim told investigators he was seated in his vehicle along Sagan Drive in Champ Fleurs around 12:10 pm when he was confronted by a masked man.
The man pulled out a gun and grabbed a chain from the victim, valued at $8,000.
He then told the victim to drive away.
The victim complied but then heard a loud explosion – he felt a burning sensation in his upper right leg and realized he had been shot.
The victim sped away and drove to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated.
