A 27-year-old man is in police custody after a quantity of shotgun ammunition was found on his person.
The suspect, from San Pedro Road, Rio Claro, was held at about 8 am yesterday during a police operation in the area led by Sgt Maharaj and Cpl Denoon.
The officers were responding to the intelligence of drug activities being conducted at several locations throughout Rio Claro.
While search warrants were executed at seven homes, only one warrant led to the arrest after the suspect was held with three rounds of 12-gauge cartridges.
An estimated 40 grammes of marijuana was also found during this operation at various locations, however, no one was held.
