Police are searching for three men who allegedly robbed and planassed a 24-year-old in Arouca on Sunday evening.
The incident took place around 6pm in Emerald Crescent in Arouca.
The victim told investigators that he was walking along a track on his way home when he was confronted by three masked men.
One of the said men was armed with a cutlass and another with a steel cable.
The said men accused the victim of stealing marijuana that was planted in the area and then began beating him.
The suspects then allegedly robbed him of his apple iPhone and $120. The victim dragged himself to a neighbour’s house who contacted E999.
Members of the North Central Division Task Force (East) responded to the report and conveyed the victim to the Arima Hospital to seek medical attention.
