In the review, the customer said The Font’s drinks “tasted like watered down fruit juice” and that she and her boyfriend had repeatedly sent them back.
The reviewer then admitted that she and her boyfriend “walked out and legged out” adding that “the service was so bad”.
The team at The Font shared the review to its Facebook page, criticising the reviewer for “moaning about 3 cocktails for £7.50” and urging her to “come back and pay your bill”.
The post read: “In the middle of a pandemic, moaning about 3 cocktails for £7.50 and admitting a crime! Wtf TripAdvisor.
“Our staff work tirelessly more so now with all the new restrictions. Please come back and pay your bill”.
Fans of the bar were quick to share their support for the staff, with one person commenting: “I hate it when idiots like this use anything as an excuse to give poor reviews! I think the Font is a boss little place.”
The Font has confirmed it will remain open despite the new tier three restrictions in place across Liverpool City Region, as the venue also serves food.
