A 32-year-old attorney-at-law was gunned down in San Fernando on Friday morning, allegedly by a man who was later identified as her estranged husband.
Around 6:30am, Keisha Marina Bostic of Drayton Street, San Fernando, was leaving her home when she was confronted by 42-year-old Shamzard Mohammed.
Loop News understands that the two had been separated for some time after their wedding in January.
Bostic was reportedly about to leave her driveway when Mohammed shot her several times before turning the weapon on himself.
She was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) by a relative. Sadly, she succumbed to her wounds at the hospital.
Mohammed died in her front yard.
The incident happened in the vicinity of the Anstey Memorial Girls’ Anglican School.
The Trinidad and Tobago Express reported that Mohammed was a licensed firearm holder.
Meanwhile, the Institute of Law and Academic Studies (ILAS) has mourned Bostic’s “senseless” murder in a Facebook post. See the status ILAS shared below:
