Kawhi Leonard is gearing up for a comeback for the Los Angeles Clippers after missing the entirety of the 2021-22 NBA season. But that won’t stop him from getting in some vacation time early into the offseason.
The two-time Finals MVP was seen beaming and shooting hoops with some children during a trip to the Dominican Republic.
The meet-up was tweeted by Jatnna Rodriguez, who works for a baseball organization in the Dominican Republic called Toros Del Este, along with an accompanying caption in Spanish.
“Kawhi Leonard visiting the Dom Rep,” she tweeted in the post about the Clippers star. “Thank you for making the children of the neighborhood where I was born happy.”

Kawhi Leonard has been on the long road to recovery after suffering an ACL injury during the 2021 NBA playoffs. With him sidelined for the entire season and Paul George missing 51 games, the Clippers somehow managed to stay afloat and even made the Play-In tournament thanks in large part to head coach Tyronn Lue.
With their two superstars expected to be back and at full strength, the Clippers are one of the biggest contenders in the Western Conference and arguably the biggest threat to prevent a Golden State Warriors repeat run to the Finals.
