A perturbation in the ITCZ is forecast to produce cloudy periods with light to moderate showers and the medium chance of a thunderstorm overnight into the late morning tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Met Office, in an update on Tuesday, said another tropical wave is also forecast to begin affecting Trinidad and Tobago from late Thursday evening into Friday.

Today, Trinidad and Tobago is experiencing mixed conditions with some sunshine and brief light or moderate showers over a few areas together with moderate to high concentrations of Saharan dust.

The Met Office added that during the afternoon, there is a slight to medium chance of a heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm favouring southern and western areas of Trinidad.
