The Jamaica Tallawahs swept past defending Caribbean Premier League champions, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, to record an impressive 55-run victory on Thursday in The 6IXTY.

The Tallawahs produced the highest score of the tournament, 139 all out, despite being bowled out with a ball remaining in their 10-over allotment.

Fabian Allen led the way with a six-filled 45 off 18 balls, while Rovman Powell (32 off 13) and Raymond Reifer (38 not out off 19 balls) played supporting roles.

Jon-Russ Jagessar was the pick of the Patriots bowlers with 1 for 13, while the other members of the bowling wickets went for over 11 runs an over.

The Patriots were 28 for 2 and well behind the scoring rate when Dewald Brevis hit five sixes in six balls to light up Warner Park.

The 19-year-old South African was gone soon after for 34 off 11 balls, but his scintillating cameo send a shiver down the spines of bowlers in the other five teams in The 6IXTY.

The Patriots were bowled out for 84 in 7.2 overs to had the Tallawahs a massive lead in the race for semi-finals places in The 6IXTY.

The Tallawahs face the Barbados Royals on Friday at 5:30 pm, while the Patriots take on the Kings at 10:00 am.
