Police said an estimated $30,000 in jewellery and other items were stolen from a home in D’Abadie on Thursday.
The victim, a 50-year-old woman, told police that she secured her home in Lynton Gardens around 6am yesterday and left.
When she returned around 2:15pm, she noticed that her home was broken into.
Police said burglar-proofing on the western side of the home was cut and several items were stolen including a TV valued at $2,000, a quantity of gold jewellery valued at $30,000, a laptop valued at $1,000, alcohol valued at $2,000, a Wi-Fi speaker valued at around $5,000, and an iPad valued at around $4,800.
The woman contacted the police and a team of officers led by PC Singh responded and are continuing enquiries.
