A 39-year-old woman was shot dead in Diego Martin Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dhanmatie Paray of Quarry Street, Diego Martin.
According to reports, around 10:30pm Paray was liming along the Diego Martin Main Road, Mason close to Mason Street, when an armed suspect approached the group.
The suspect confronted a man in the group and pulled out a gun and shot at him.
The suspect then fled the scene.
In the aftermath, Paray was shot several times.
She fell to the ground.
The intended target was also wounded, however, his injuries were not said to be as serious.
Paray died at the scene.
