Former University of Trinidad and Tobago volleyball star Asia Joseph has been appointed as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the West Indies U19 women’s team.

Joseph, who is a Teaching Assistant at Florida International University (FIU), is with the team in Florida for the historic series against the USA U19 women’s team at Lauderhill.

The former UTT Patriots Volleyball student-athlete became the first female to serve as a strength and conditioning coach in the Caribbean Premier League in 2021.

Joseph was the strength and conditioning coach with the CPL champions, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

She currently works with the women’s tennis program at FIU.

The West Indies U19 women will face their USA counterparts in a series of matches between 8-14 August at Central Broward Stadium, Florida.
