A 63-year-old hiker was rescued by the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service’s Search and Rescue Unit on Wednesday.
According to a statement shared on Facebook by the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), Pat Jackson was brought out by fire officers at 5:33pm about a kilometre before Pool One at Caura River.
Jackson reportedly left Lopinot around 10am on Thursday for a hike. However, he fumbled and got lost on the trail.
The HSRT learned of his situation and made their way to the site to assist. However, when they arrived, they learned that he had already been rescued.
“Well done Fire Services Search and Rescue Unit. GOD IS GREAT,” the HSRT’s post ended
