The revolutionary Fiesta Female League (FFL), a female franchise basketball league is set to begin on 15 January in Trinidad and Tobago.
The six-team franchise round-robin tournament runs from 15 January to 26 March.
The six teams are Next Level Comets, Republic Bank Ltd Stars, Milo Vipers, Sunshine Snacks Warriors, Digicel Wildcats, and WiPAY Sparks.
The teams will be coached by Cleveland King, Eric Knights, Lincoln Charles, Garvin Warwick, and Christopher Jackson Charles.
The Athletic Director of FFL Gavin Warrick said the tournament was created to give more playing opportunities to the nation’s women.
