One man was arrested and a firearm, ammunition and a quantity of marijuana were seized by officers of the North-Central Division Task Force East (NCDTF), overnight.
According to police reports, between 10pm on December 30 and 2am December 31, NCDTF officers were executing a roving raid exercise during which they targeted known offenders.
During the operation, police officers executed a search warrant at the home of a 21-year-old man in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca.
There, police allegedly found a quantity of marijuana. The suspect was immediately arrested and is assisting police with their investigations into the find.
Meanwhile, NCDTF officers, acting on information, proceeded to 4th Avenue, Bon Air Circular, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, where they found a Glock 19 Pistol fitted with a magazine containing 15 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition near the Basketball Court.
