Police are searching for a Piarco man who allegedly tricked a delivery driver who brought him a Play Station 5.
Investigators were told that on Monday morning, a delivery driver went to Oropune Gardens to deliver the PS5 to a man who had contacted them.
The gaming console was delivered at an agreed cost of $6,995.
The suspect took the console and handed over a thick envelope of cash and then left on foot with the gaming console.
However, when the driver later made checks, she realized the envelope only contained one one hundred dollar bill, as well as 47 one dollar bills.
The victim made her way back to the area, but the suspect could not be located.
The police were notified and a team of officers led by WPC McShine responded and are continuing inquiries.
More on this as it becomes available.
