In a new post on the Death in Paradise Twitter page, fans were given their first glimpse of series 12, with Ralf once again back in the role of DI Neville Parker.
The caption read: “Just another day at the office! We’re back filming in paradise for series 12 and can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got in store! #DeathinParadise @RalfLittle.”
One picture saw Ralf dressed as Neville sitting on a chair holding a red umbrella to shade him from the sun while filming on the beach.
Ralf smiled for the camera with the turquoise water behind him.

The second snap showed members of the crew filming by the water as the sun set behind them.
Fans of the show were equally excited about the pictures, with one writing underneath: “I can’t wait to see you all. I’ve so missed my weekly death in paradise fix! It’s been like losing an arm don’t know what to do! Had to watch reruns everyday! Please hurry back x.”
Another tweeted: “Anticipating, will be soooo glad. Love the whole cast, keep up the good work.”
A third shared: “This is so exciting!”
Last month, Ralf updated fans on his break from filming, sharing a video of him at his hotel in St Lucia with his fiancee Lindsey Ferrentino.
He wrote in the caption: “We have some downtime from filming @deathinparadiseofficial so decided to head to @sandals_uk in St Lucia for some R&R with the other half.
“First day here, just got back from the beach and… well… the service is *next level*.”
After a day at the beach, Ralf returned to his room and was greeted by a bubble bath.
As he placed his feet in he said: “That is pretty sensational” then once he was full submerged he added: “I am all about this life.”
Death in Paradise airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
