The Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago has advised that from 12pm on Thursday civil works will commence at the Piarco International Airport to support the construction of the European Union-funded Solar Park.
Traffic will be redirected temporarily at the exit lanes of the airport as a result.
Members of the public are urged to proceed with caution when exiting the airport, observe directional signs and markers, and comply with guidance from security officers.
Back in July, the European Union’s Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Peter Cavendish, told attendees at the sod-turning ceremony for the project that the TT$12 million it pledged is not a loan. Cavendish added that there are no restrictions or conditions on the donation.
