A 19-year-old Felicity man is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate on Tuesday charged with the 2021 murder of Shabiram Bandool.
Chiari Soverall, who is presently detained at the Golden Grove Maximum Security Prison in Arouca, was charged following advice from acting Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore-Paul on August 30.
Bandool, 60, a taxi-driver of Felicity was found injured outside a vehicle in the area on February 5, 2021.
He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in a critical condition.
Soverall was charged with the offence of wounding in connection with the incident and was remanded into custody.
The victim, however, died on June 25, 2021 as a result of the injuries he sustained.
Investigations were supervised by acting Supt Dhilpaul and Sgt Jones, both of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Three.
Soverall was charged with the offence by acting Cpl Augustus, also of HBI Region Three, on September 5.
