Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray reunited with Ne-Yo during the Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter’s “Live in Concert” tour in Manila.
Back in 2018, when Catriona won Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand, Ne-Yo was the special guest performer. The R&B superstar performed his hit single “Miss Independent” during the iconic Miss Universe 2018 Top 3 final look.
Ne-Yo’s Manila concert was held at the Araneta Coliseum, the same venue where Catriona was also crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2018.
Catriona went to social media to share her “fangirl moment” with her followers. She wrote: “Obviously had the best night ever last night at the [Ne-Yo] concert in Manila. I actually watched him in concert in SM MOA back in 2010. I am such a fan. Then backstage at MU2018, I was too shy to say hi.”
The former beauty queen turned host and television personality went on stage during last night’s concert when Ne-Yo asked for members of the audience to dance. As Catriona confessed, she isn’t a dancer but the queen of the iconic “lava walk” definitely knows how to stun the catwalk.
“Everyone around me was pointing to me and, taking notice, one of the stage managers picked me to take me to the stage … a huge highlight of the year to witness him perform up close,” she said.
