Bernadette (Bernie) Claflin passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2022, at the age of 66. She was born in Trinidad, Colorado on July 12, 1955, to Felix and Clara Gonzales.

Preceding her in death is Husband of 42 years Jack Claflin, parents Felix and Clara Gonzales, brothers Kellie Gonzales and Felix Gonzales Jr., sisters Ceceila Rivas, Frances Mejia, Lydia Solice, and Mary Gonzales, stepsons Jerry Fernandez and JD Claflin.

Survived by her children Roy Elliott, Antoinette (Josh) Choate, Joaquin (Gabby) Gonzales, Desiree (Omar) Abdalla, Crystal Gonzales, Shawna (Mike) Claflin, Angelo Claflin, Analicia Claflin, Stepdaughters Jackie Romero, and Angel Fernandez.

Brothers and sisters, Grace Sisneros, Margret Rodriguez, Trina Carol, Anna Camacho, Debbie Gonzales, Vickie Debaca, and Robert (Annie) Barrera.

She had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Bernie was blessed to have her granddaughters by her side while she was sick Shelby Brown, Shaylynn, Sara, and Kiley Choate.

Special nieces and nephews John (Skeeter) Pearl Claflin, Jolynn Santisteven, Tammy Santisteven, Fred (Jamie) Barrera, Joe (Gina) Gonzales.

Bernie was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was always willing to help others. With her we never had a dull moment, as she was always happy and outgoing everyone loved her.

She was a die-hard Denver Bronco fan and sport collector. She enjoyed having barbeques, gambling, playing her music, dancing, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones. Bernie will be missed.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 1:00pm at First Christian Church,

Arrangements made under the direction of Comi Funeral home.
